Thoughts about Wyoming from a 14 year old girl
“On the Wyoming trip I experienced something I’ve never felt before.. God spoke to me and told me that he put me where I live right now for a reason. He put me here so I am able to control me, myself, and I and no other. Also on our last chapel at the Glendo Reservoir the wind blew on me and it dawned on me that God told me to keep faith in him and he will embrace me like the wind and protect me from evil.”

We did an activity where we rode horses… Mike, the wrangler, explained to us that riding a horse is like letting God take the reigns of your life… When I heard that fact, I realized that I need to let God take the reigns of my life.

I love that you asked the students to write their responses/feelings on the trip. It gives a greater image and confirmation (besides the fantastic picture!) of how great an impact trips like this have on youth. It totally makes me want to go there and share in the experience (One day…)

14 Year Old Girl– What an inspiring story. I’m glad you shared how God moved in you while at camp. I hope the image of reigning a horse will stick with you for months and years to come. It will stick with me!
Blessings as you let God lead you. It is the best kind of ride!

To the young woman who wrote the blog …
I really appreciated your words and description of God’s presence in your life. Your closing statement was quite profound and encouraged me in my walk with the Lord. Oh to trust in God so as to be embraced by Him like the wind. That’s powerful. Thank you.
Peace,
Mark Carter
