Lake Avenue Community Foundation is working with several organizations to provide summer activities for the youth of PUSD! We are specifically working to provide a summer program for High School and Elementary Students.

High School – SKILLZ
The summer program for high school is being held at Lake Avenue Church (393 N. Lake Avenue, Pasadena 91101). The program will run July 6th to August 4th, Mondays through Thursdays from 8 am to 2:30 pm and we are expecting 200 students to take advantage of this program. Life Skills, Pre-Algebra, Algebra and English will be available for the students.
We need volunteers who can come anywhere between 7:30 am and 2:30 pm to help with the following tasks:
- Registration, check-in, and directing beginning at 7:30 am.
- Providing assistance to the Life Skills teachers in the class rooms between 8 am and noon.
- Lunch preparation, distribution and clean up between 11 am and 1 pm.
- Check-out and clean-up between 2 pm and 3 pm.
Elementary
The summer program for elementary is being held at Madison Elementary (515 Ashtabula Street, Pasadena, 91104). This program will run from July 5th to July 29th, Mondays through Fridays from 8 am to 3 pm.
We need volunteers who can come and help with any of the following tasks:
- Soccer/Athletics Camp from 8 am to 12 pm.
- Tutoring using reading and math curriculums or assisting in enrichment activities from 12 pm to 3 pm.
